Our Meat

WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR FOOD,

DOING THINGS THE RIGHT WAY

IS THE ONLY WAY FOR US.

Our meat isn't sourced, it's our own. It comes from animals that are born and

raised on our farm. We do this because we care, because raising animals is our

passion and because - in order for us to sell meat with confidence - we need to

know how the animals are raised, what they are fed, and whether they are given antibiotics and hormones. We make a point to ensure our animals are happy, healthy, and given plenty of room to roam. We enforce sustainability by utilizing regenerative agriculture* methods. We partake in rotational grazing* in order to revitalize our soil and better our environment. Our animals are frequently moved between paddocks with time between grazing built in for plant recovery. This process mimics the way that wild herds of bison moved across grasslands years ago. As herds graze, dung, urine and old plant matter are trampled into the ground where they can decompose and enrich the soil’s network of microbial life. Dung beetles and other beneficial insects aerate the soil and move resources into the earth. Read on to find out exactly what standards we hold ourselves to.

Our Standards

OUR STANDARDS ARE UNWAVERING BECAUSE WE ARE COMMITTED TO PROVIDING YOU WITH THE BEST MEAT POSSIBLE.

Processing Facilities

Back to Nature Farms cuts no corners when it comes to anything and that includes the processing facilities we use. We use small family run USDA facilities in Kansas to butcher and package our products. Our products are 100% born, raised and packaged in Kansas. Our partners’ operating methods are humane and of the highest standards. Their facilities are routinely inspected and approved by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

We also believe in fair labor practices. In line with our family and community values, we seek partners who treat their employees as part of a team.

Click on one of these terms for more info:
